Main aim is to use football to combat gender violence among female adolescents (18-21 years). Specific aims are: - providing coaches of female football teams with awareness and skills to deal with gender violence - providing females from football teams with awareness of gender violence and how to deal with and report it - favouring societal attitudinal and behavioral change with football - promoting football institutional support against gender violence, by adapting code of conduct of FAs and introducing compulsory training for national coaches on gender violence and equality With an approach of active prevention, GOALSCORE combines two priorities: fighting violence against women; preserve adolescents. The partnership is composed of 3 National Football Federations, 3 associations dealing with gender violence and more generally equality, 1 university, 1 communication society, UEFA as the supporting institution. Such competent and diverse partnerships is ideal to design an effective and scientifically founded methodology for training coaches and test it among male and female youth football teams. GOALSCORE will have a duration of 36 months and will provide a methodology, freely accessible by means of an online course and guidelines, to fight gender violence through football. Planned sport events and final conference attended to by role models will favour visibility, dissemination and social impact across Europe. GOALSCORE will show that football can provide novel and engaging ways to fight relevant social issues such as gender violence with the power of sport.
