SPRING PROJECT - SPRING: Sport4Development to Promote Resilience and Inclusión in New Generations
▶Summary
Sport4Development to Promote Resilience and Inclusion in New Generations (SPRING) is a small-scale partnership project with 3 objectives: (I) To promote the development of socio-emotional skills of children and youth and the inclusion of diversity through sport; (II) To train coaches of a sports club in the socio-sport methodology of Sport for Development; and (III) To disseminate the results of the training and pilot programme for future replicability and scalability. The consortium will be formed by Fútbol Más Spain, a non-profit organisation with expertise in Sport for Development; and the professional Football club NŠ Međimurje Čakovec, from Croatia. The main activities of the project will be: (a) A training for 16 coaches of NŠ Međimurje Čakovec in the Fútbol Más socio-sport methodology, framed within the discipline of Sport for Development. This training will be carried out through digital e-learning tools and face-to-face trainings. (b) The implementation of a pilot project to put into practice everything learnt in the training. Socio-sport activities will be carried out in which the club's sport training will be complemented with the development of socio-emotional skills in 350 girls, boys and young people. In addition, the inclusion of diversity will be promoted, emphasising non-discrimination and the accessibility of sports practice. (c) A monitoring and evaluation process will be carried out, with subsequent analysis, in order to disseminate the results through intellectual outputs. If successful, the project can be scaled up and extended in future calls to more clubs in Europe. In addition, cross-cutting themes will be worked on, both in training and implementation, such as the promotion of children's rights, gender equality, tolerance for different cultures, interculturality and environmental sustainability. The project will last 14 months and aims to contribute to the transformation of social reality and inclusion through Sport for Development
