EnterSport
▶Summary
Since poverty in both Croatia and Serbia is amplified and produces a negative impact on the marginalized children, who often lack even very basic social support systems can benefit from this project and many more to come. Children are highly exposed and excessively affected by the difficulties distressing society, however, when their needs are met and their organizations are able to provide care, entertainment, and healthy activities, children can grow into self-confident and self-reliant adults who can disrupt the cycle of poverty and inequality, and avoid the societal and economic burden. Thus, systematic social inclusion mechanisms that involve children and support social welfare institutions ultimately benefit society as a whole. Project EnterSport is focused on social inclusion of marginal group of children into alpine skiing in the winter and mini-football in the summer, to create a multi-seasonal social inclusion in sports. Our first objective is to non-formally educate 20 marginalized children’s guardians from two different counties, on gathering groups of neglected children they work with and organizing the trips to two different season activities, alpine skiing and mini-football. Our second objective is to educate 10 ski instructors and 10 mini-football coaches from two different countries to take a proper care of neglected children while leading the seasonal sports activities in the mountains and on football field. The non-formal educations will be carried out during the two workshops, the on-snow skiing in Croatia, and on-field mini-football in Serbia. Our third objective is fulfilling the social inclusivity aspects of the project, which is to include 40 marginalized children overall in the two-day workshop activities – 20 children per workshop.
