No boundaries - Sport without borders for people with disabilities

The project proposal “No boundaries” focuses on encouraging the participation of people with disabilities (PWD) and volunteers in sports and physical activity for a health–enhancing lifestyle. Project consortium consists of 3 organizations from 3 countries: Međimurje County (Croatia), Municipality of Lendava (Slovenia) and Lake Balaton Development Coordination Agency (Hungary). GENERAL OBJECTIVE is dedicated to promoting cooperation, quality, inclusion, creativity and innovation at the level of sport organisations and sport policies as well as raising awareness as regards the role of sport in promotion of social inclusion, equal opportunities and health enhancing physical activity. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES are encouraging an involvement of people with disabilities in sport, the promotion of sport and physical activity as a gateway for healthier lifestyle with inclusive and intergenerational sports in project area. The project consists of A SET OF ACTIVITIES which will be carried out in a period of 18 months: assuring preconditions, execution and evaluation of the programme and horizontal activities. Persons benefiting from project are 30 volunteers and 120 PWD involved in sport events. EXPECTED RESULTS are prepared in 3 different working programmes for PWD (traditional sports for children and youth, traditional sports for adults, and new sport on water), motivated volunteers and PWD to participate in sport events, organized intergenerational sport events, prepared short guidelines in the field of promoting sport activity for PWD, offering new opportunities to PWD for doing sport and raised awareness of the general public and decision makers about the objectives and activities of the project. The following outputs will be made in this project: lists of participants, presentations, photos of organized events, meetings and conferences, visibility packages, desk research documents, 3 different sport programmes, survey of evaluation results and guideline documents.
