oldschool_gym - OLDSCHOOL_GYM
โถSummary
The OLDSCHOOL_GYM project is a simple project with great value for the elderly and those living in nursing homes. In the project, we use basic sports gymnastics as a tool, and with its help, we give added value to homes for the elderly and active facilities for their users, namely the elderly. Through the project, we conduct gymnastics in homes for the elderly, and through education we work on the health aspect of participants, we educate the staff of the home with the aim of long-term sustainability of the program, and we create an electronic manual based on the experiences and content implemented in the project. Through this project we are doing three very important things for people in nursing homes and the local community. The first important thing is the implementation of over 100 gymnastics trainings and the development of a gymnastics program adapted to the elderly, in nursing homes, which through the project we also equip with the necessary sports equipment. Through gymnastics training, we influence participants at the level of improving physical health, mental and social. Second equally important and valuable thing is the education of nursing home staff to the level that after the planned number of trainings they have the knowledge and competencies to take over the management of training in a safe and appropriate way. Through the connection of gymnastic clubs and nursing homes in which the project will be implemented, the doors of gymnastic clubs will remain open in the future in the direction of education and support at all levels. Third, the development of an electronic manual that will be developed after the implementation of project content, surveys and gained experiences. The e-handbook will be published on the EU platform and will give nursing homes the idea and KNOWLEDGE to implement such a form of activity. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
