YouCAMP - Youth CAMPetition
โถSummary
Coordinated by an International Sports Confederation (CSIT/AT) with a partnership of 6 national grassroots sport organisations (AICS/IT, TUL/FI, UCEC/ES, HOCSH/GR, HLA/HR, ASKร/AT), YouCAMP has the objective of encouraging equal participation of young boys and girls (aged 14-19) in sport, by using a teambuilding approach and the intergenerational dialogue method. According to a needs analysis on the most popular, new and inclusive sports among young people at EU level, 6 national Youth Multi-Sport Camps of 5 days will be staged. Young people will be the participants and the co-organisers of their own camp, through the engagement, from the preliminary phases, coordinated by the intergenerational teams of the participating sports organizations. 180 young people (90 boys and 90 girls, reaching 30% of people with fewer opportunities or coming from rural areas), will compete in 3 sport activities, divided into equal mixed teams. National Camps include outdoor disciplines promoting environmental sustainability and new adapted traditional games for all ages. European Guidelines of innovative and inclusive sport activities will be designed with the active role of the young participants. During the European Week of Sport partners will launch, through a social media campaign, a European Contest where the most innovative and inclusive national camps' activities will be presented, through short videos and podcasts. A final outdoor European multi-sport Seminar and Conference with the participation of young participants will engage the audience of 200 sport executives, managers, coaches and opinion leaders to have a trial and to vote the innovative and inclusive sport activities that will be included into the European YouCAMP Multisport Handbook. YouCAMP will communicate and disseminate, reaching more than 1.000 individual people and 275.000 online contacts. that is published through this page expresses the views of the project beneficiaries only and it does not represent the views of the European Union or the European Commission.
