Education 4.0 for Youth

Background In order to understand Education 4.0, understanding Industrial 4.0 is a must..In addition, a lot of educators and researchers explain that the new vision of learning promotes learners to learn not only skills and knowledge that are needed but also to identify the source to learn these skills and knowledge.It was important to find out the needs of the students,educators and the employers and to create a new teaching and learning methodology according to their needs.This need was an urge for us to write this project. Objectives We aimed to create three intellectual outputs: Skills Competency Map, Digital Platform, New Teaching/Learning Methodology.The data results collected from the target groups - schools,teachers, youth (students) and major industry employers was used to build a Skills Competency Map. This created a clear picture of the kind of digital and technological skills and the ability levels the youth in Kahramanmaraş have. The Skills Competency Map shows where youth are deficient, allowing the target groups to design comprehensive solutions and reveals how present education is fulfilling the training and usage of digital and technical skills required by employers and the FoW.A digital platform and its content was designed and built to support the Education 4.0 for Youth project. It was linked to the Education 4.0 for Youth website with a companion mobile app. The digital platform featured archives of ready reference and resource materials.Based on an analysis of the survey results, feedback and other data, a new teaching/learning methodology was created and included the instruction and inclusion of the digital and technical skills in daily school lessons that employers expect from their new employees. Implementation In order to achieve the goals. we formed the project team and distributed the tasks. Teknokent held regular meetings with partners every month on Zoom. We had four TPMs, two in Kahramanmaraş,one in Skopje, one in Riga to discuss the project development, to solve the problems and check the progress. Three surveys were prepared and data were collected from all partners.Based on the analysis of the data, white paper report, digital competency map for students,teachers and employers were created. Moreover,digital platform which is linked to website and mobile app was created, everybody can easily reach and take the survey to check their digital competency level. Survey and digital platform were introduced to employers and schools by project team.Then new teaching and learning methodology was created and translated into all partners' languages.
