Go Visual - visual thinking tools for educators and youth

Background The instruments, that can help youth workers and youth trainers to become more efficient in the development of critical thinking of young people is use of visual thinking instruments, graphical facilitation tools. Those phenomena already exist in the world of business trainings and bring very good educational results, unfortunately, not many youth trainers know how to use those instruments and how to apply them to the efficient educational and youth work. Why visuals are working: 65% of the people are visual learners, Information is share 40time more often with images&videos, Image processed in 0.01sec. 75% of neurons are responsible for processing images We conclude the next needs: - raising awareness and the importance of the use of visual tools in education/youth work - the development of competences in the topics of graphical facilitation, visual thinking tools and visual education - access to visual instruments to strengthen learning, empower participation and raise the quality of education/youth work - instruments for self-learning in the topics of graphical facilitation, visual thinking tools and visual education - start a multipliers effect of sharing experiences and expertise in those topics in education/youth fields Objectives The aim of the project Go Visual is to raise awareness and develop the competence in visual thinking tools and graphic facilitation of youth, youth workers, educators and trainers, in order to empower, raise effectiveness and quality of educational process, learning and youth work. The project focused on the following objectives: - To increase awareness and importance of the use of visual thinking tools in education and youth work, and how to apply them to concrete youth training and work; -To learn a visual language, develop own visual library, explore sketch-noting & graphic recording techniques, how to visualise ideas, etc. - To explore why visuals useful, how to use them in different contexts - To learn how to stimulate critical thinking and creativity with graphical tools. - To discover digital and online instruments of visual thinking. - To become more selfself-confidentpressive and creative; - To create a cascade chain reaction and multipliers effect of the development of visual thinking and use of graphics in education, learning and youth work - To create visual instruments to support the self-learning & competence development process.
