The E-Teach project focused on digital education and digital pedagogies for teachers and future teachers. There is a critical need to improve teachers and future teachers' digital teaching competences. Teachers should reach out effectively and implement the right pedagogies to students. In the digital era, teachers and future teachers should apply digital pedagogic principles and methods. This project tackled gaps of teacher competencies in digital pedagogy, and mismatches between traditional pedagogic methods and digital pedagogic methods and techniques. Each partner conducted needs analyses for the specific needs of the project. The following main needs were addressed: 1) Rapid Technological Change and Educational Needs; 2) Impact of COVID-19 Pandemic; 3) required Teacher Competencies in the 21st Century; 4) Focus on Digital Pedagogy and Learning Outcomes. The project focused on the transformation of traditional pedagogic practices into digital pedagogies. This transformation is crucial for ensuring the success of learning and teaching processes in the digital environments.

โ–ถObjectives

The e-Teach project has the vision to support the transition from traditional to digital pedagogies. The primary goal of the project was to enrich teaching and learning experiences with digital environments, and enhance the digital pedagogy competences of teachers and future teachers. To this end, the project has been dedicated to develop intellectual project results to empower teachers & future teachers. Digitize Teaching Methods: By transforming conventional teaching practices, the project provides literature ground to optimize educational design & delivery, making it more accessible, engaging & effective in the digital age. Develop a Digital Guide: the E-Teach Teacher guide serves as an important guide book for integrating digital pedagogies into digital learning environments, ensuring that teachers are well-equipped with the necessary competences. Teacher Training in Digital Pedagogy: the project provides an online course (OER) and a Certificate program on Digital Pedagogy for teachers & future teachers, equipping them with the necessary competences to implement innovative instructional strategies. Various aspects of digital education are covered, including planning, design, content creation, evaluation, etc.

The project focused on enhancing digital pedagogies for teachers and future teachers through a comprehensive set of activities designed to enhance the necessary competences for the digital age. The key results include: e-Teach Knowledge Paper: Published in May 2023, this pivotal document has served as the theoretical underpinning for understanding digital pedagogy, supplemented by practical case studies to illustrate real-world applications. The paper has reached a wide range of target users through website, social media dissemination and national multiplier events. e-Teach Modular Curriculum: Designed to equip the next generation of educators with cutting-edge digital teaching methods, this comprehensive curriculum merges theoretical knowledge with practical applications. It includes a wide array of lesson plans tailored for digital education. Made available on the project's website and online platform, it has reached a wide audience through dissemination via website, social media, newsletters, and engagement in national multiplier events. e-Teach Teacher Guide: This guide stands out as a valuable tool for teachers seeking to incorporate digital pedagogy into their teaching practices. Featuring a user-friendly and visually appealing interface, it provides a plethora of practical tools, strategies, and step-by-step instructions. Distributed through the project's website, social media, and multiplier events, it aims to support teachers in navigating the complexities of digital education. e-Teach OER Online Course: Since its launch in October 2023, this interactive platform has attracted a wide range of participants, offering them high-quality educational resources on digital pedagogy. The course's self-paced structure and comprehensive content have facilitated deep engagement, with participants reporting significant improvements in their digital teaching capabilities. e-Teach Certificate Training Program: This innovative program, blending live sessions with asynchronous online learning, took place from October to November 2023, has provided the participants with advanced digital pedagogy methods and guidance. Moreover, it facilitated rich exchanges of ideas and best practices, furthering the project's goal of creating a European network of digitally proficient educators.
