By implementing the project we achieved an universal language in ergonomics, keeping self-care and well-being at the forefront. This approach not only fosters a healthier work environment but also encourages the exchange of knowledge and the creation of partnerships across borders and maintaining the health of caregivers and make their work easier. It is crucial to raise awareness among healthcare providers about the importance of measuring risks and investing in the health of their workers. A long-term solution, rooted in a self-regulated perspective, should integrate innovative approaches, such as an app or web application, that can be consulted at every step. In our efforts, we placed particular emphasis on providing detailed descriptions of specific patient handling techniques, as well as the correct postures and movements to minimize risks. The European Agency for Safety at Work significantly contributes to this effort with e-fact 28: Patient Handling Techniques to Prevent Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) in Healthcare, which is available in all European languages. However, there is still a need for a comprehensive guide on how to perform these techniques in practice and how to effectively teach them to caregivers.
