Objectives

The project aimed to develop digital educational content, a personalized training application, and a DIY kit powered by a Raspberry Pi Pico. These resources introduced seniors to the world of DIY smart home automation, addressing everyday scenarios related to their lives & safety while teaching new skills in electronics, programming, problem-solving, &critical thinking. Primary Objectives: • Assist Seniors in Daily Life: Provide practical guidance to simplify daily routines, enhance safety and security, and promote civic engagement and collaboration • Educational Package Development: Create an educational package combining engineering, electronics, DIY projects, digital competencies, and soft skills tailored to seniors • Experiential Learning: Use experiential learning to keep learners engaged and motivated, ensuring a hands-on approach to education • Policy & Research Recommendations: Develop evidence-based recommendations for integrating digital education for seniors • Institutional Enhancement: Enhance the ability of educational institutions and adult training centers to offer high-quality, inclusive digital education • Virtual Community: Establish a virtual community for ongoing collaboration and continuity of project outcomes
