CLI-MIND CHANGE - Mentalidad para el cambio en la sostenibilidad climática y la inclusión social.
▶Summary
CLI-MIND CHANGE emerges from the necessity detected by the partner organizations that “The awareness about environmental aspects requires a shift in communication, considering the social inclusion needs as well as the features that come along with social diversity nowadays”. The project is being created in line with the European policies that face climate change, including the Green Pact, that seeks to activate citizens to build up a greener Europe. CLI-MIND CHANGE has focused in education and awareness to achieve this citizen’s activation, involving both teachers and students from Secondary Education through various awareness sessions about climate change, and its consequences at social level. The project has stressed the importance of the link between climate change and its social impact, taking in account issues such as the social inclusion of unaccompanied minors that migrate due to climate causes, the gender equality in the creation of new active roles to tackle global warming, the existence of geographical barriers towards harder climate conditions in rural areas, etc. A response to these issues is key, facing a future socially inclusive that will have to deal with a new climate scenario.
▶Objectives
As we specified in the Project Application, the consortium has reached the following objectives during the project implementation phase: 1. Generate greater awareness of the mindset and perception that high school students have about CLIMATE CHANGE. 2. Foster the perception of SOCIAL INCLUSION for most vulnerable groups in the face of future climate situations. 3. Develop key competencies and green skills that can enable real change in students. 4. Promote new creative methodologies, based on digital tools and gamification, among high school teachers to enhance communication, awareness, and activism in environmental and social challenges. 5. Establish a consolidated cooperation network that allows the ongoing development of the main project objective regarding mindset and behaviour changes in high school students facing challenges. In order to FACILITATE THE CHECKING TASKS of the technical justification of the objective fulfilment and the result achievement, we share with SEPIE the following folder, with access to all the documents needed: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16LSm2T5k7RS7WPxeoDvSHtRHGbXvoW9B?usp=sharing
