By implementing the VET4FOOD project, our objectives were to close the training gap within food VET schools by enhancing the competencies of both teachers and students in food sustainability, thereby raising their awareness of its critical role in combating climate change. We aimed to improve the quality and relevance of VET education to better meet the evolving needs of the food and tourism sectors, which increasingly require professionals skilled in sustainability. A key goal was to embed food sustainability within VET curricula by developing a comprehensive module that covers nutritional, environmental, economic, and social dimensions. We also sought to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through a combination of online and face-to-face training, enhancing their digital literacy and hands-on experience. Additionally, we aimed to empower VET teachers with advanced edutainment and digital tools, fostering more engaging and effective learning experiences. Through these efforts, we sought to ensure that all participants are well-prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly changing industry.
