We are Changemakers!
▶Summary
The Project will especially focus on the targets: GOAL13: Climate Action and GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, as a result of the voting among teachers and students of participating schools. Why should schools teach the SDGs? Schools have access to large concentrations of young minds who are passionate, creative and have a desire for a better world. This access gives them an enormous responsibility: give the future generations the tools it needs to create the world they wish. The SDGs give educators the apparatus necessary to introduce complex local and global issues like gender inequality, local poverty, global warming, and many others, while empowering students to start making the difference they want to see in their communities. Why should teachers teach the SDGs? Teachers have the power and unique responsibility to provide the knowledge and necessary skills for the next generation to tackle the big challenges of their time.
