Running an erasmus+ project is a three-faceted response (at least!)! It's a response to an institutional need. We wanted to commit to internationalizing our school. In fact, it's one of the priorities of our school project. It's a response to a professional need. We wanted to play an active role and be a driving force by initiating and coordinating the project. The creation of small-scale partnership projects for "beginners" seemed like an opportunity to be seized. We wanted to acquire new professional skills in project management and teaching. It was also a response to an educational need. As teachers first and foremost, we are keen to offer students innovative and motivating educational projects. The Erasmus+ experience combines work, meetings and sharing around a central topical theme: the environment.

We wanted to answer the questions "Is the grass greener elsewhere?" by adapting it to the field of school education: are schools greener on the other side of borders? And how do humans and nature get along in your country? By observing, participating in and comparing our environmental education practices, we wanted to create a dynamic around the environmental issue. Everyone involved in the project - students, families, teachers, administrative staff, local authorities, partners - was given the role of transmitting good green practices. In addition to the objectives inherent in the environmental education project, the aim was also to develop professional skills by enriching teaching practices and managing/coordinating a project.

The project was structured around three key moments, corresponding to the three mobilities planned with the three European partners. Each mobility took the form of a week-long visit by student and teacher representatives. The host school then organized a program focusing on environmental issues, the risks faced by the region, the solutions found and educational activities to raise awareness.

Our concrete outcomes were : - to launch a WEB TV promoting green practices and calling for actions now! Visit https://www.youtube.com/@learnerasmus and learn! - to create teaching kits transferable to other schools. How to make a beehive with students? Set up a bat house in your school... They are ready to use! - co-write a tourist information brochure for good practices when visiting a natural protected area like a Nature 2000 zone. These outcomes were a cooperative work created by students (web TV and brochure) and teachers ( teaching kits). The impact of an erasmus project exceeds expectations. Maybe it's because we were 'newbies', but it's hard to measure the richness of these encounters, the desires created in terms of action for the environment and the awareness that Italy, France, Portugal, we are on the same planet, we are on the same boat.
