The Green IT for VET providers project aims to achieve the following objectives: 1/ Studying and researching the impact of digital learning 2/ Defining the lifecycle of a digital learning course 3/ Promoting good practices and pedagogical innovation to reduce the impact of digital learning courses 4/ Raise awareness of the learning community about the impact of digital practices and massive digitisation 5/ Support VET providers with technical and pedagogical tools to improve their green digital skills

To meet the GIVE project objectives, we implemented the following activities: 1/ Research activities with the analyse of existing studies about the environmental impact of education 2/ Qualitative study with the implementation of 6 focus groups with trainers, teachers, learners, digital learning providers sharing their experience about their digital habits and experience 3/ Quantitative study with the creation of a survey to collect feedback from multiple target groups about their digital learning experiences. We obtained 372 respondents. 4/ Elaboration of a methodology to analyze the impact of digital learning 5/ Creation of a digital learning course to introduce digital learning to VET providers 6/ Active dissemination to the project target groups to raise awareness on the impact and solutions to massive digitisation
โถImpact
Concrete outputs and results of the GIVE project are: 1/ A comprehensive 100 pages white paper 'Taking into account the effects of digital education on the environment in the EU' available in 3 languages (French, English and Portuguese) available on free download on the project website 2/ The creation of a 12 modules digital learning course, available on My Green Training Box, to introduce VET providers to sustainable IT available in 3 languages (French, English and Portuguese). Each module contains a video, a podcast and a text version of the content. 3/ The implementation of 3 webinars at EU level to share impacts and good practices 4/ Many dissemination tools such as a project website, the participation to many conferences about digital learning to introduce the project such as Le Learning Show in Rennes and 2 press releases on the special edition of Mag RH dedicated to education in 2022 and 2023 (100 000 download per publication) about the life cycle of a digital training course and the impact of digital learning.
