Objectives

The goal of the Susfood Digree project was therefore to develop an international and multilingual training programme to foster sustainability in the food industry among a wide range of stakeholders with the aim of helping to create a more sustainable future for the food industry. In addition to student training, the digital training tools could also be used in professional training, both directly in companies and in further training institutions for adults. The desired effect was the firm implementation of the sustainability idea in corporate philosophy, business models and investment decisions. When used in student training, the digital training tools could provide future leaders in the food industry with both ecological understanding and, with concrete examples, demonstrate technological and economic alternatives to conventional food production and products. The project objectives were: • Supporting stakeholders in the food industry to enhance awareness for environmental issues • Increasing food industry stakeholder skills & knowledge • Create and use digital open access learning material about sustainability • Spreading the EU Green Deal aims into the food industry
