The general goal of the project was to support active European citizenship, especially young people, and to increase the international cooperation of Red Cross societies throughout Europe. The general goal was achieved through specific goals: 1. To improve cooperation between the RC Čakovec, Osijek and Maribor societies and 2. To increase the capacities of partner organizations for work with young people with an emphasis on crisis situations. Through the cooperation of partner organizations, we wanted to increase the capacities of organizations, their quality of work in regular activities, but also in work with young people. The realization of international cooperation opened the possibility for organizational changes and exchange of experiences. Training young people in the field of democratic life, civic activism, human rights and the principles of the Red Cross Movement directly contributes to the priority of encouraging young people to engage in civic activism, promoting alternative forms of participation and developing a sense of initiative among young people. The activities of preparing for the response to crisis situations are related to the priority of the environment and the fight against climate change.
