MAP- Mapping Digital Methods Applied in Adult Education in Partnership
▶Summary
The two-year long strategic partnership project was implemented by Hungarian and Romanian public employment bodies, a Spanish and Hungarian higher education institution, a German community college, Estonian and Hungarian vocational training institution also providing adult education, and an Estonian private company facilitating the implementation of industrial digitalisation. We looked at the situation of the 4 partner countries, reviewed local research and professional materials on the subject. In order to meet common needs, the partnership has decided to implement a project in international cooperation, in the adult education sector in line with the Digital Transformation priority. The members of the partnership also wanted to contribute to the higher quality of the work of staff by providing more qualified human resources to achieve our strategic goals. In the professional further training system of the partner organisations, learning about innovative methods applied on the international stage was a priority. We increased the quality and efficiency of the organisations’ professional activities by integrating them into the operation.
▶Objectives
The main goal of the project was for the partner organisations to expand their toolkit and methods applied in the development of digital competence and digital awareness of adults through learning from each other. Partner organisations shared with each other the methods they applied in the provision of services/counselling for adults. Our further goal was to network organisations that are stakeholders in adult learning and employment; strengthen cooperation, and this way exchange experience in the operation of local cooperation systems. This project intended to come with a response for the needs encountered and to provide the necessary tools and skills for the adult educators and prepare adult learners/adult educators to tackle these activities according to DigiComp. Each partner was interested in expanding their domestic and international partnership and strengthening existing ones. Exchange of experience also took place in the area of networking during the implementation of the project. The integration of best practices into the cooperation, the wide dissemination of the project results – addressing organisations not yet involved in the cooperation- also served to achieve this objective.
▶Activities

There were total of 5 TPMs in 5 countries with all partner organizations participated. During the meetings in addition to performing project management tasks, good practices applied by the host institution and its partners were always presented. Practices were presented in a practice-oriented manner; in addition to the transfer of theoretical knowledge, the participants also met the implementers of the given programme and the training participants. After the TPMs the participants presented the good practices they learnt in a professional report and their proposals for the applicability. Reports were written in English and shared within the partnership, and presented at the next TPM. The quality of implementing the TPM was assessed by the participants in a questionnaire.
