Objectives

This project develops opportunities for employability inclusion through the involvement of beneficiaries in activities that can both benefit the community and the local area and alleviate their personal hardship through the new professional and personal growth opportunities arising from ECO-CHEF. with this project we wanted to reach: 1. disadvantaged people in an innovative training course making them protagonists of a real cultural revolution in the food sector through training and an innovative recognition expendable on the labor market. 2. acquire skills in the agribusiness sector, learn about the territory and sustainable processes to enhance the value of local products. For those involved, it represents a concrete opportunity to get out of hardship. In addition, the 0 km supply chain enhances local production by generating new jobs and strengthens the link with the territory and its inhabitants, offering customers greater guarantees of product quality and transparency of the production chain. 3. decrease social isolation, increase the sense of confidence in oneself and one's skills, increase the desire for continuing education, and reintegrate into social environments.

Activities

EcoChef project implemented all the activities forecasted in the application. Main asset for implementing activities was the coordination control boot that met 10 times over the 24 month; over these coordination meetings relevant project assessing and projecting moment were the transnational journey occurred on february 2022 in Bulgaria and on october 2023 in Italy. The main aim of the coordination was to plan, to implement and to follow up the training courses, 2 per year both in Italy and in Bulgaria involving more than 40 persons in each country; training courses in Italy were conducted in march 2022 on olive oil production as main topic, in november 2022 on wine production and promotion and in april and may 2023 2 courses on bakery and on wine; in Bulgaria training courses were conducted in may 2022 on social and employability skills as a main topic, on july 2022 on social entrepreneurship, on september 2023 two trainings on Business Planning in Social Entrepreneurship in the Agricultural and Tourism Sectors. 3 multiplier events in italy on april and december 2022 and on june in 2023, 2 in Bulgaria on august 2022 and october 2023 and in the final event ECOCENA in Italy on december 2023.

Impact

Management meetings occurred during the whole time of project implementation (2022: 19 jan, 21 mar, 13 jun 2022, 18 jul, 15 sep, 21 nov, 2023: 26 jan 2023, 1 mar, 20 mar, 22 may, 24 jul, 18 sep, 4 oct, 20 nov, 22 jan); meetings involved 4 people that coordinated the activities but also the local and regional community engagement: from school to municipality, from informal groups to commerce organizations the project involved more than 30 stakeholders. Training courses, involved in total more than 40 people in theoretical and on the job trainings, main topics deepened were Olive oil production and consumption (Bassano del Grappa, march 2022) wine production and wine testing/serving (Bassano del Grappa, november 2022, april-may 2023), Social entrepreneurship business, social models and planning (Blagoevgrad, may and july 2022, september 2023), bakery products production (april 2023); we esteem that on 46 people involved at least 20 find a job in the sector after the training. Multiplier events and final event ECOCENA (occurred in Italy april 4, november 28 2022, Jun 21, 2023; Bulgaria December 8, 19 2022, October 18th, 2023) involving generally more than 30 stakeholders.
