The basic point was about fostering an awareness about issues regarding respectful and active mobility and space for the people in our city, which is still, as many Italians city still under the strong dominion of car-culture. This involved first of all a change in our “frame of mind” which is a long way to become real. Basic idea is that an ecological transition has no sense without a step back to recognize the limits that need to be applied to our current lifestyle to make it able to cope with the urgent needs of climate change and unsustainable cities due to pollution and car congestion. Reclaiming space to people was another relevant topic for the whole project. Consider personal responsibility involved in the shift towards a more sustainable way of life; support citizens in considering the potentiality of cycling and active mobility as crucial steps in this direction; promote bike culture and active mobility among daily activities for private and commercial use.

1. a definitive awareness that city congestion and scarcity of space for people are an issue in our town: both for business and for citizens, 2. a growing interest toward cargobikes for delivery purpose in some companies in Firenze. Some that were using motor vehicles for delivery, are now starting to use cargobike, independently or outsourced, 3. a growing interest from bike shops towards these products for a wider use from families and companies, 4. a rising interest from families and citizen towards using cargobikes for daily purposes and activities such as children to school and shopping, 5. a slightly different consideration towards car use from young people if compared to the standards we still are used to in our city/country, 6. a greater visibility in our city of cargobikes and bikes for commuting 7. the usual lack of interest from our administration to this kind of issues, still not of great concern for the majority of voting people; which means that our politicians in town can continue with business as usual; but the waves are approaching this place too, nonetheless...
