Objectives

By implementing the DI-Va project, our primary aim was to achieve several key objectives. Firstly, we wanted to improve the inclusion of adults with Down syndrome by promoting socialization, integration, and fostering a culture of respect and solidarity. Through the project, we aimed to create a supportive environment that would empower individuals with disabilities and enhance their overall quality of life. A specific objective of the project was the creation of a training course in performing arts, which participants with disabilities could attend in Rome, Istanbul, and Spain (which have been implemented online due to Earthquake in Turkey at the beginning of 2023). Our goal was to provide them with an opportunity to acquire new skills and develop their artistic abilities. We wanted to enable them to express themselves through creative outlets, building their self-confidence and enhancing their personal growth. Additionally, we aimed to organize a final event in Rome, where the participants would have the chance to perform in front of a live audience. This event would serve as a culmination of their training and provide a platform to showcase their newfound talents.
