Objectives

The overall objective of the project was to improve the awareness among students and local communities about forms of discrimination against women, to promote the women's image as equal partners with men and to develop a program of intervention at local level which young women should use to report abuse and ask for help. The specific objectives of the project were achieved through local and transnational activities (LA and LTTA) They were: to promote the mentality of gender equality in male and female students, to promote female models in all cultures, to analyze the changes in the mentality related to sex from the past to the present in partner countries, to raise awareness of women's rights and ways to protect them, to stimulate civic involvement of students and have at least 40% of the participants involved in social campaigns, to support intercultural awareness and intercultural learning, to develop the soft skills - communication of the students, creative thinking, critical thinking, teamwork, motivation.

Activities

We planned and carried out three LTTA that involved a lot of activities carried out by all the partners : LTTA1Women’s roles - past and present (how women were and are perceived in each of cultures) LTTA2 - Powerful women’s figures - examples of leading women’s figures in various fields , LTTA3 - Women's rights - national and international laws, pioneers of women's rights, national service. Apart from the three mobilities, a lot of local activities (LA) took place: lectures, interviews, workshops, games, exhibitions, etc.

Impact

We produced the following results: initial and final survey to measure students' attitudes towards the perception of gender equality, posters, presentations with models of women from different countries and cultures, successful women interviews, documentary films about pioneering figures in the defense of women's rights, reports and statistics on gender discrimination and violence against women, students' campaigns, photo exhibitions, works of art , videos, broadcasting conferences and the final results ( book of poems, calendar, booklet with quotes on women,). Other important results refers to the dissemination tools which reached large audiences: the project website, students' blogs, Facebook page, eTwinning.
