▶Summary
the main need was to find a theme sensitive to local communities to activate dormant youth energies that can contribute ideas to the development of our communities and which too often, without the contribution of innovative projects like this, do not emerge and do not find realization . The project aimed to open a window on the world for the local realities participating in the project in order to create a common sensitivity to belonging to the fundamental themes for the European Commission.
▶Objectives
the project aimed to stimulate the reflection and awareness of local communities in the perception of the river, through innovative methodologies of active citizenship.
▶Activities
Local community involvement techniques were developed through questionnaires and practical activities which increased the perception of the river within the community
▶Impact
The most immediate result is the increased sensitivity of local communities towards the river, towards its potential and towards local development opportunities. The greatest success was achieved by the Ribellarci Association which managed to influence local political choices, inducing local decision makers to invest public resources in the recovery of routes and places near the river
