ā–¶Summary

This project aimed to improve the competences of educators and other adult education staff, first of all, in the project partners' organisations, and secondly, in other organisations and institutions what was one of the needs. The project contributed in making well-balanced, healthy and responsible aging process focusing on intercultural and intergenerational cooperation and education. Partners followed the title of the project "Positive emotional life for active aging" and created materials for positive emotional life and active aging what was other need of partners' organisations. Project had focus on the inclusion of seniors in social life. As final beneficiaries, they were involved in local and dissemination activities and helped in testing project materials. Seniors inclusion was also need which was expressed by partners. Swift resovery and inclusion of seniors in adult education are important more than even before after COVID19 when elderly people suffered from loneles, social isolation, stress and depression. Both target groups - educators and adult learners - were diverse in sense of age, gender, education, social and cultural backgrounds. By this project supported inclusion and diversity in education and training.

ā–¶Objectives

The general objective of the project is relevant to the Erasmus+ Programme priority "to support, through lifelong learning, the educational, professional and personal development of people in education, training". The specific objectives were: * to improve competences of adult educators; * to create and develop efficient teaching and training materials for educators; * to exchange of good practices and experiences between project partners' organisations; * to develop talents and train creative skills of adult learners with focus on seniors; * to support inclusion of seniors to adult education; * to improve the availability of high-quality learning opportunities for adults; * to improve the capacities of organisations active in the fields of adult education and training; * to contribute to the awareness about the cultural diversity in Europe.

ā–¶Activities

Project activities included: • three transnational meetings for project management and exchange of good practices; • local meetings and activities for testing project results; • two international training courses for staff members; • creation of learning materials for Teaching and training manual and Web-app; • monitoring and evaluation process; • dissemination of project information and results; • multiplier events in all project partners' countries. Work on the Teaching and training manual and Web-app and also training courses supported development of the educators' new competences, so they teach and train adult learners on local level. Workshops and training supported improvement of the digital skills, talents and creativity because partners involved to the project people, mostly seniors, with different cultural and social backgrounds. Partners had in focus inclusion of seniors in the project activities from one side and from other side learned how to attract young people to be part of intergenerational education. Such approach enriched participants of this project and made it attractive for educators, learners and general public. Partners uploaded video and photos about project activities on the project Facebook and YouTube that highlight the potency of combining verbal and visual methods in adult education. There were promotional and dissemination activities organised during the project for associated partners, other stakeholders and wider audience. Project partners raised awareness about Europe 2020 strategy and Erasmus+ Programme. The desired impact of the project is going beyond its lifetime and beyond this project partners organisations towards adult educators, adult learners, different stakeholders and wider general audience.

ā–¶Impact

Partners created new educational materials to support educators in their teaching and training process taking into account specifity of the current post-pandemic situation. Partners created project Teaching and training manual and Web-app as the main tangible project results. New created materials are valuable resource for additional education and training in partners and other organisations in adult education and also in other fields of education and training. Manual on 160 pages consists of good practices and pedagogical materials. There are chapter for building positive attitude to life. There are materials about efficient pedagogical methods for adult education and training, about soft skills and recommendations how to work with seniors. Web-app is programmed through website functionalities and works also as app by providing interactive content. A software H5P was used. The interactive content shows 57 scenarios on different topics which can be used for the education and training. Partners created project promotional video and photos about the local and international activities, project logo, poster, information for the project Facebook page. The important results of this project are development and improvement of adult educators' competences and creation of new learning opportunities for adult learners - seniors and other people with fewer opportunities. Partners involved to the project activities diverse groups of people bridging intercultural, intergenerational and social divide, including the age based digital divide. Creating an environment of inclusive learning and using friendly and relaxing atmosphere helped in the acquisition of competences of adult learners and particularly elderly groups of people. Educators had training during the project in the field of adult education and as a result, they are able to use the learning approach in all potentials fields to strengthen the self-protective competencies. There are intangible results and outcomes: - new experience of staff members and educators at European level; - intercultural competences for the staff and learners; - acquisition of new ICT skills; - acquisition of new communication, foreign languages and other skills; - longlife learning network of partners and other stakeholders involved to the project at local, national and European level; - increased EU project management competencies. Project results are based on digitalisation of adult education and inprovement of creativity and talents. Open and innovative education addressed this need to develop ICT skills of educators, trainers and other members of educational staff, so they are able to educate their learners and also exploit the maximum benefits of ICT development, online courses, open and innovative pedagogies. This support the availability of high-quality learning opportunities for adults. Partners established efficient collaboration between different educational institutions on local, national, regional, European and international level and increase the quality of education and training. This gives the opportunity to create an interactive network of educators specialized in the project topics and this is also one of the important results of this project.
