Impact

The PROCARE Project has established a robust framework, with methodological and operational tools to tackle the pressing issue of burnout among LTC operators. This comprehensive approach not only addresses the symptoms of burnout but also delves into the underlying factors, particularly skills gaps, that contribute to its emergence. By recognizing these factors and by registering a general lack of VET tools to address these issues related to Burnout syndrome in the Partners’ countries, PROCARE aims to empower long-term caregivers (LTC) operators with the skills and resources needed to effectively combat burnout and resolve related challenges through Mentoring. Through its innovative framework, PROCARE Training tools taken as a whole not only seek to mitigate burnout but also enhance the capacity of LTC operators to proactively address and rectify these issues, ensuring a healthier and more sustainable healthcare environment, with incalculable benefits for the entire society. Training materials can be adopted to the needs of other sectors - Mentoring Methodology and Toolkit can potentially be used in mentoring programmes in other segments of Healthcare, i.e. for caregivers who work with terminally ill patients or people with severe disabilities. Apart of project results, consortium developed: - The PROCARE Project Management Handbook - The PROCARE Quality Assurance Handbook - The PROCARE Dissemination Strategy - project website https://www.procareproject.eu/ - project newsletters 6 national conferences were organised to disseminate project and its results.
