Objectives

The "Mental Health 4 You - Mental Health Relevance in the European Union" project aimed at enhancing mental well-being by offering tools for youth and resources for adult education programs in the EU. Focused on adult educators, the project successfully achieved objectives, including the development of a toolkit with eight workshops to raise awareness about mental health. Additionally, it educated adults on various mental health topics such as emotional management, beliefs, self-love, and healthy lifestyle. The project empowered adult educators with competencies and provided tools for adult mental health support, contributing to a comprehensive approach in promoting mental well-being across diverse age groups.

Activities

The activities implemented during the project were the following ones: - KIck off meeting (Vinci, Italy), 7-10 April 2022; - Study Visit (Iasi, Romania), 11-14 July 2022; - Hope Circles - local; - Pilot Session (Lublin, Poland), 3-6 April 2023; - Retreat (Costa da Caparica, Portugal), 13-17 September 2023; - Final Conference (Carcavelos, Portugal), 23-26 October 2023: - Elaboration of a Handbook with 8 workshops; - Dissemination activities.

Impact

The output of the projects is the Handbook “HOPE Circles methodology" that includes 8 different workshops. The designed workshops engaged adults in activities aimed at preventing or mitigating mental health issues. These workshops likely incorporated various activities, exercises, discussions or educational sessions specifically crafted to raise awareness and provide tools to help adults recognize, manage and prevent potential mental health difficulties. The goal was to equip adults with the knowledge, skills as well as strategies needed to support their own mental well-being and potentially intervene or assist others who may be experiencing mental health challenges. The published result mentioned indicates that these workshops have outlined activities tailored to support the prevention of mental health issues among adults.
