Objectives

DigitalFashion project tackled knowledge in a highly competitive domain, namely software for virtual prototyping of clothing. DigitalFashion provided educational materials in this domain destined to Higher Education students and young professionals from the industry. The project had 3 specific objectives, fully met: Objective 1: Introducing new teaching and learning methodology of digital fashion towards the academic community. Indicators: 50 teachers and 150 students prepared. Objective 2: Digitization of the fashion and textile work in partner countries targeting the textile and clothing industry. Indicators: One e-learning platform with digital educational resources. Objective 3: Promoting internationalization of the digital skills in fashion and textile technology Indicators: Involving 270 stakeholders in online international learning. During three years implementation period of DigitalFashion (2022-2025), the project partners created the educational materials and the e-learning resources (first two years) and organized Multiplier events (third year) for teaching & multiplying the achieved outcomes. All initial objectives could be met and specific indicators exceeded with 426 professionals involved and 2 platforms created.

Activities

DigitalFashion project carried out following activities: PR1 - preparation of one Report on the needs of introducing virtual prototyping of clothing via a survey with 35 textile-clothing companies on partnership level. PR2 - preparation of a databases with physical and virtual samples of 49 fabrics, 48 patterns, 4 garments (women’s skirt, women’s blouse, men’s trousers and men’s shirt) and male and female avatars of 3 sizes meant to be used by the simulation platform. PR3 - programming of the simulation platform for training of students in virtual prototyping of clothing. Monitoring of accesses showed highly interest of students related to these e-learning resources. PR4 - creating a curricula of cca. 130 pages regarding virtual prototyping of clothing in relation to the four databases of PR2. Implementing the curricula as Moodle e-learning course in six national languages (EN, FR, DU, PT, RO and SI). LTT - organizing one Joint Staff Event of three days at host University of Maribor for elaborating new partnership project ideas. ME - organizing of 12 Multiplier events workshops with 426 young professionals from the textile industry. PMI - highly disseminating via papers in scientific journals and at conferences, presentation and leaflet distribution at workshops and seminars, newsletters and social media.
