DigiSchools

The idea of this project came during the Covid-19 pandemic because it has affected our life in all sectors, economic, family, social, but especially in the education.Our priorities were also the same with the new EU Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) wich outlines the European Commission’s vision for high-quality, inclusive and accessible digital education in Europe.We had to face with online and distance education because phissically was not permited. So, we had to unlock the potential of digital technologies for learning and teaching and to develop digital skills for students and teachers. Education and training were the answer at this problem so we had to raise the quality and inclusiveness of education and training systems and to provide digital skills for all during the digital transitions. First of all we studied and applied surveys in our organizations to see if our priorities and difficulties are the same. It has shown that there were problems with access the technology, less digital competences for preparing digital content and educative materials for teaching, learning and also assessment into distance education, poor communication between students, teachers, families, reaching and motivating the students.

The most important objectives we have achieved on this project were to improve teachers and students digital competences for implementing the distance and hybrid education, and to decrease the social discrimination and exclusion risk .We raised the students digital competences from 45% to 72%. Teachers got digital readiness in distance education, they improved their digital competences from 48% to 70% on designing courses in digital environment, preparing distance learning materials , using ready-made materials according to their purpose, providing digital ethics and security, using digital learning materials for students' personal skills, using digital learning materials to assess and evaluate(from 34% to 60%).The objectives we have achieved consisted in improving the language competence of the participants, to learn and respect other cultures, thus helping to create a common EU, learning about Erasmus+ programme and the opportunities of it, from 62% at the beginning to 85%.All these objectives are achived by the intelectual outputs R1-the educational website and e-book and R2 the mobile application.The benefits of this project are for the school environment, teachers, students, families and comunity as well.

During our project we have implemented the following activities: -2 Teachers-Project Meetings at the beginning and the end of the project.We have had also online meetings but these helped us to prepare and sign necessary agreements, budget, activity plan, dissemination and risk management, to share tasks and responsibilities, to evaluate the activities, to report and results, to take measures if necessary and replan the activities, to check the budget, expenses, to check the implementation of the Project Results and complete all activities according to the timetable prepare for final report and study on sustainability. We have explained our timetable and reports on the TPM section from Beneficiary Module platform - 4 Learning-Teaching-Training Activities developed in all 4 countries from the partnership (Romania, Turkey, Lithuania anf Portugal).In each mobility each of the partner participated at least with 2 teachers and 4 students from 14-18 years old.Considering our needs and management we enlarged the group of participants in order to many teachers and students participate at the mobilities.Beside the others activities we have done, mobility action aim to provide learning opportunities to individuals and to support internationalisation and institutional development of schools.Every mobility (Digi-crimes in Turkey, Our Environment in Lithuania, Risk Management in Romania, FCL-Future Classroom Lab in Portugal) had its own title and objectives and generally focused on improving the digital skills, environmental problems, management risk, FCL and entrepreunership as the following: improving students skills about digital ethic and safety; how to behave in social media and other digital platforms, how to be more safe and secure in digital platforms, improving students digital communication, digital collaboration, realiseng the problems and suggesting solutions, environmental problems, improving their risk management skills and overcoming the troubles, improving their FCL experiences and learning the basic steps of entrepreuneurship. The participants also learned to respect others culture, tradition, values, life styles and beliefs, about how to decrease the social discrimination and exclusion risk, how to improve their personal skills, how to care the environment and use eco-freindly and eco-labeled products, increase environmental awareness . The teachers had the chance to see, check the good practices presented in the schools, to experience new methods and techniques, to compare and create new methods and perspectives. -1 Multiplier Event called New Approaches to Digital Learning, it was the last activity at the end of the project and the purpose of this event was to introduce and disseminate the project, all project results (mobile application, website, e-books and YouTube channel), presenting the Erasmus+ DigiSchools project, implementation process, schools involved, activities, mobilities, meetings, teachers and students involved, project results, dissemination activities, collaboration and partnerships with local authorities,we shared experiences in e-twinning projects and Erasmus +projects. -Local activities during the project implementation involved students, teachers, families, local authorities, according to the timetable.The objectives of the activities were to increase the participants digital competences, get them ready to distance learning and LTTAs activities, teaching them how to use the results of the project, help them to be more social and decrease the social discrimination and exclusion risks.The teachers had meetings, seminars to share their experiences and apply them.We informed the families about our project objectives, activities the new educational systems and guiding them how to overcome the troubles and problems during the pandemic process.We had also activities about how to protect the environment, use eco-freindly and eco-labeled products, public transport, bycicles or walking, increase environmental awareness among the participants. Local activities followed the objectives of the project and timetable in order to reach the aims and to develop the competences on them.

The project concrete results which we have done have the following purposes: importance of education, no matter if is online, phissically or hybrid according to quality standards, decreasing social discrimination and increasing social inclusion, improving the teachers’ professional career and continueing their lessons in every conditions, improving the schools’ risk management capacity and managing to continue education on any conditions and to adapt to the new conditions and rules, to be active and part in the society.The outputs helped us to increasing the participants digital skills, personal and social skills, increasing their communication, collaboration, risk management and entrepreneurship skills, improving their language skills and raise awareness about language diversity, learning and respecting other cultures,values,beliefs and lifestyles, rasing awareness on cultural diversity, helping participants from disadvantages group in order to follow EU agenda and opportunities and create a common EU cultureThe first intellectual concrete output-R1 of DigiSchools Erasmus+ project was a mobile application Digital Desk Application (D.D.A) for the needs of our teachers, students, families and administrators. The teachers from Isparta University of Applied Sciences prepared the mobile application on Android system so we could use it.The university partner prepared meetings every 2 months and informed the partners about the application. Each schools partner had an administrator of this application and we did what was necessary.During the Covid-19 process we learned about our real needs and deficiencies; we couldn’t communicate, manage pandemic process well and find solutions to our problems. Especially on the first days of the pandemic students, teachers, families couldn’t reach the correct and reliable information about their educational plans . This application was designed to guide students from the school psychologists, guidance teachers and administrators, planning career, bullying, social exclusion, to become more confidence and sociable. Our schools, during the pandemic faced with risk management, to reach all the students and families, support them.The families couldn’t get enough and correct information from the schools and teachers. The teachers,students, families used various websites and applications to reach the reliable information bu they had different information.This Mobile application gave them the chance to all the skateholders to reach the correct,reliable information and communication.The mobile application have 4 parts; 1-social and guidance support; Thanks to this part,students reached the guidance they need.The psychologists /guidance teachers met the students and have interactive activities, descover the students with special needs in education and guide them.The interactive activities helped students to socialize. 2-Educational part; Students and teachers met here and shared their plans, documents, informed all students and families at the same time. So this helped us to manage the process more regularly. 3-Administrative part; The stakeholders had healthy communication and shared correct and reliable information.Thanks to this part,families,teachers expressed their opinion about the decisions and participate in the school management 4-Technical support; the stakeholders used the correct and reliable digital materials in this unexpected situations.The ICT teachers helped students and families about the programmes that are preferred in risky situations. Using the analysis surveys we prepared reports about the content, administrative rules of our own countries.The application was planned in 4 languages.(English, Romanian,Lithuanian,and Portuguese) and respecting the legal regulations because when the students ,families and stakeholders download the application ,they must be agree these legal regulations and enroll themselves to the application. https://digischools.euedumobileapp.com/ The 2nd project result-R2 is an educational website and e-book .During the covid-19 pandemic process teachers have had problems about WEB 2.0 tools and digital learning materials how to find them ,how to choose them according to the subject and students’ interests and how to prepare and share digital learning materials. These troubles and problems affected our motivation during the pandemic process. Teachers generally used traditional teaching methods and materials. Finally the students got bored easily and they do not join or active in distance learning. This website helped our teachers and students to overcome the troubles and problems. Teachers from Isparta Gazi Social Bilimler Lisesi, Turkey was responsible to prepare the website and all the partners helped with informations and studies, methods for the content.We have met regurarly every two months and discussed about what methods and information to add in the content.We used our experience from our countries , our rules and regulations and share them, decide the last version of the website.We have had applied surveys analysis and prepared reports about administrative rules. The website can be watched in all project languages: English, Romanian, Turkish, Lithuanian and Portuguesse. We used this website link because this one will be open more than 10 years and it will be more easily updated by turkish partners.The website https://digidistance.isparta.edu.tr/tr have 5 main parts.These parts are regulalry updated and teachers shared their own studies and works here. 1st part-introducing how to prepare simple digital learning materials and using them. There are basic steps and regulations how to prepare digital learning materials. -introducing WEB 2.0 tools and digital learning materials, and how to use them according to the subject groups 2nd part- Here teachers will have information about how to improve students’ personal skills during the distance education, how to improve their creativitiy, critical thinking ,suggesting innovative solutions and other personal skills; interactive applications, educational games. 3rd part- This part is about digital ethic and security. Hre we find information about how to be secure and safe in digital area. 4th part- This part is about digital assesment and evaluation, methods and techniques how to assess and evaluate studenets in distance learning. 5th part- This is about how to guide students in distance learning, improve their personal skills via digital learning materials and realize the students who are in the risk of social discrimination. The website includes information how to prepare simple digital learning materials and using them according to the learning aims and objectives. Both teachers and students can use the website and improve their skills.We have disseminated the results of the projects in all meetings at school or neighbouring schools, also at the county level or in other international Erasmus+ mobilities and explain these WEB 2.0 tools and digital learning materials. The e-book consists of e-materials of the website and its an Learning / teaching / training material – Toolkit. The website is used as a model and its e-books version was prepared.
