Arc-en-ciel en vert!
▶Summary
People nowadays have the tendency to alienate themselves from nature due to their living in the urban areas.Children are equally affected by these changes.Distance from nature is the result of comfortable, sedentary living. All these reasons have led us to join the teaching staff from three other countries (Turkey, North Macedonia, Bulgaria), from Romania participating two partners, in the development of the Erasmus+ Project with the title Arc-en-ciel en vert!.The need to be involved in such a project emerged from a careful analysis of the educational needs of students and the wishes of parents regarding what school should mean in the life and physical and mental development of children. Through the applied questionnaires, through the surveys carried out in the partner schools, we identified common needs for cleaning the environment in order to have a healthy life: the need to breathe clean air without emissions; the need to recycle materials; keeping clean waters; carrying out reforestation activities to avoid natural disasters; protecting animals and birds.Once the needs were identified, we proposed to follow the following aspects: - the determination of the students to reconsider their way of life in relation to nature.
▶Objectives
In the cry for help of planet Earth burdened with far too much waste, actions are launched to demonstrate that we have the power to change what we have treated with negligence and carelessness, that we are the ones who will find solutions to restore balance for us and future generations. In an international context where the protection of the planet and environmental education are becoming increasingly important issues, the project had the essential objective of raising the awareness of students, their families, school staff and local communities, changing the vision on that we have on the world, stopping waste disposal and undertaking greening actions that must represent the priority of the current moment. Students will be involved in community actions, creating and maintaining a healthy, clean and pleasant environment. We also aimed to make students responsible for the importance of environmental protection, to form skills and attitudes to value and respect the environment through civilized behavior, but also to increase public awareness of the importance of the environment. We also set out to effectively promote the integration of Education for Sustainable Development in educational programs and school programs..
▶Activities
Based on the problems in the territory, such as the problem related to the improper use of waste, students will learn to select waste at home and at school and at the same time they will understand how they can use certain materials such as plastic, paper and glass.Through these gestures, students will understand that saving the planet depends above all on them. Other activities will allow students to use acquired knowledge and skills in order to take positive and well-thought-out actions aimed at solving environmental problems. At the time of submitting the application,we had distinguished the tangible and intangible results that we expected to achieve during the project.Tangible results: joint educational activities: questionnaires on environmental actions, presentation of the territory, tourist information brochures, leaflets for users, videos, recognition certificates, project logo.Tangible results: educational activities specific to each partner country. With relevant information and examples, students learn that in life there are no failures, only results, that behind every problematic attitude lies a good intention, that responsibility gives you freedom, and that success only exists when there is emotional motivation.
