▶Objectives
BITL is a project with the following aims: • Enable participants and stakeholders to comprehend the severity of climate change; • Raise awareness about the dangers of climate change and its potential consequences for future generations; • Address environmental issues such as global warming and energy shortages, recognizing them as potential threats to the world if no precautions are taken; • Strengthen intercultural dialogue; • Provide opportunities to encounter and learn about new teaching methods and learning approaches, integrating them into the standard school curriculum; • Encourage participants to take action on social issues and become active citizens; • Offer the acquisition of innovative and motivating strategies for the social inclusion of students, utilizing national and EU cultural elements as support. The project aims to decrease the percentage of those who • say 'I don't know what causes climate change' from 68% to 42%; • say 'I don't know what precautions are taken nationally and internationally to curb climate change' from 72% to 51%; • and increase the percentage of those who say 'I know what precautions may be taken individually to fight climate change' from 23% to 56% within three years
