Objectives

Vänersborg's project aimed to enhance students' well-being by adopting active engagement strategies from other countries, integrating international insights into the Swedish teaching environment. Daugavpils focused on promoting physical and mental health, fostering skill development, and challenging stereotypes through inclusive sports activities to empower students. Cervia aimed at achieving European citizenship, collaboration, and reducing school dropouts, particularly targeting learners with social difficulties. Collectively, the projects aimed at improving students' overall well-being, fostering physical activity, and creating inclusive educational environments, with a lasting impact on their holistic development.

Activities

Capacity building lessons for teachers. Digital thematic lectures by professionals for students. Students´ tutorials on outdoor wellness activities. Performing one integrated sport or leisure activity at each other´s school in order to increase the cultural awareness and gain experience from other countries´ teaching environments. Kick-off meeting and start mapping local opportunities with the aim to create a final field study report.

Impact

The IMTI project achieved positive outcomes, impacting students' physical activity, well-being, and global collaboration. Participants, inspired by the project, engaged in diverse physical activities, enhancing their lifestyle. Teachers noticed improved energy levels and academic performance. Surveys revealed a nuanced understanding of student stress. Students appreciated the project's international dimension, forming lasting friendships and gaining diverse experiences. The mobility experiences in Sweden, Italy, and Latvia enriched cultural exchanges, showcasing the success of inclusive education. The project effectively promoted physical and mental well-being, emphasizing teamwork, mutual understanding, and lifelong learning. Overall, it demonstrated the effectiveness of international projects in creating inclusive and enriching learning environments.
