By implementing the SAFE project, we aimed to achieve a transformative impact on the digital lives of seniors. Our primary goal was to empower older adults with the skills and confidence to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. We envisioned a community of senior learners who could critically assess online information, identify fake news, and engage in informed civic discussions. We sought to equip adult educators with innovative, age-sensitive teaching methods, fostering a supportive learning environment where seniors could thrive. By enhancing digital literacy and critical thinking skills, we aimed to bridge the generational digital divide, ensuring that seniors are not left behind in the rapidly evolving digital world. Our broader aspiration was to promote digital inclusion and active citizenship among older adults, enriching their social interactions and personal growth. Through the creation of accessible learning resources and a sustainable information hub, we hoped to create a lasting legacy that would continue to benefit seniors and educators beyond the project's lifetime.
