JUST project addressed the critical gaps in University/Business cooperation highlighted by the 2018 EU Commission report, on how limited interaction between HEIs and SMEs diminishes the relevance ...

โ–ถObjectives

By implementing the JUST project, we aimed to bridge the significant gap education and the world of work by fostering meaningful and productive collaboration between universities (HEIs) and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Our goals were to: 1. Develop Relevant Curricula: that are informed by current labor market needs using microcredentials, addressing the mismatch between skills supply and demand. 2. Enhance Work-Based Learning (WBL) & Placement by establishing tools that facilitate effective HEI-SME interaction for joint teaching, development, and delivery of training. 3. Facilitate Smooth Transition from Education to Employment: provide students with more relevant training to their professional development and career aspirations in SME settings, thereby shortening their transition from education to the workforce. 4. Overcome Collaboration Barriers: by addressing internal administrative barriers and biases within HEIs and SMEs, using innovative means to engage the private sector. The purpose was to develop new operational models that enhance the responsiveness of HEIs and SMEs to meet evolving skills demands, expand operational horizons through cross-border collaborations, and expose international expertise.
