Developing Academic Education Tools and Methods of Traditional Sports and Games for Youth
โถSummary
The reason for applying for this project arises from the pressing need to preserve, revive, and sustain traditional sports and games (TSG). The growing influence of globalization and modern sports poses a threat to the existence of TSG, which embody the cultural and historical identities of nations. Without action, these valuable elements face the risk of being forgotten. This project aims to establish mechanisms for safeguarding, promoting, and passing down TSG to younger generations. Integrating TSG into primary and secondary school curricula has been recognized as essential for ensuring their sustainability. The project focuses on developing innovative digital tools to facilitate the teaching and promotion of TSG. Additionally, it seeks to make TSG more inclusive and accessible for disadvantaged groups, including individuals with disabilities. By enhancing the knowledge, skills, and creativity of youth workers, the project intends to enable them to use TSG as a means to strengthen youth participation. Beyond addressing these needs, the project aspires to establish a sustainable model for reviving TSG and preserving cultural diversity.
