Our goal was three-fold: First we wanted to support the creation of informal networks of local stakeholders which are engaged by sustainability, hereby feeding the local sustainability ecosystem. Secondly our goal was to stimulate knowledge and awareness on sustainability and sustainable transformation by deploying informal and experiential learning opportunities for adults (e.g. speakers, workshops, learning games). Finally we wanted to strengthen local voices and civic engagement, enable the exchange of perspectives on sustainability priorities in the EU and increase mutual understanding of the local challenges. Internally, with the project we wanted to learn how to create better city sustainability communities and build a replicable, scalable process around it.
