The partnership applied for this project in order to address the pressing need for adapting vocational education and training to the evolving labor market requirements, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The outbreak significantly impacted SMEs, prompting a shift towards remote work. The project aimed to develop innovative curricula and courses to equip individuals with digital skills and competencies essential for remote management. By focusing on digital transformation and enhancing digital readiness, the project sought to bridge the skills gap and meet the demands of the modern workforce. The goal was to create a sustainable framework that aligned vocational education with the current labor market needs, ensuring that individuals were well-prepared for remote work environments and could contribute effectively to the economy.

The objectives of the project 'Remote Management' were to promote the acquisition of competencies among SMEs managers in adopting remote management strategies and utilizing related tools. The specific aims included conducting a systematic review of practices on remote management tools and strategies and developing a Massive Online and Open Course (MOOC) on remote management. The project aimed to review existing practices, assess remote management readiness in partner regions, identify necessary skills for effective remote management, develop a curriculum in line with ECVET procedures, and create a MOOC course aligned with EQAVET standards to upskill SMEs managers in remote management adoption. The project sought to address the challenges faced by SMEs in managing remote teams and enhance the capabilities of managers in navigating the complexities of remote work environments.
