Development of a guideline and digital educational material for healthcare professionals planning mobility

The shortage of healthcare workers and professionals (HCP) is a common problem seen worldwide. In this aspect, the HCP needs to migrate from one country to another country to meet the needs in such a shortage in this field. At that point, the qualification of healthcare professionals at both technical and social level is very crucial to provide the high-qualified service to labor market needs. Moreover, the entry and equal access of such a labor market is the first step to foster the HCP. Taking into account the research, it is seen that there is a deficiency in the knowledge on the solutions for the problems encountered during the entry of professional work life abroad. Therefore, there is a need to develop a guideline for helping the HCPs who are planning to work abroad at European Union (EU) level and international level.

This project aims to identify the barriers and facilitators for healthcare professionals' participation in work life and to develop a guideline and digital educational materials for HCPs who would like to work abroad. This helps both target groups as HCPs for equal access and transition to the labor market and the healthcare institutions directly providing the health care services and vocational educational centers in this field via the career guidance. The sustainability of the project will be ensured through the digital educational platform developed under this project and through the new cooperation to be formed for the future projects during and after the project. These outputs would create upskilling pathways and improve the accessibility and increase the take- up of adult education. All these would be a great influence on integration of migrants and immigrants in the healthcare professional sector. In addition, this project contributed to the creation and development of transnational networks and to foster synergies between partners at local, regional, national and international level for improving the policies.

The project proceeded based on the project application form and all activities to be planned were completed precisely. There are seven main activities. -The Kick off meeting was organized online between the dates 3th of May 2022- 5th of May 2022. - The first workshop was organized in Berlin, Germany between the dates 3rd of August 2022 and 5 th of August 2022 as three days, which was led by the BedCON with the contributions of the project partners. - The second workshop was organized in Antalya, Turkey between the dates 17th of October 2022 and 19th of October 2022 as three days. - The digital educational platform was developed and the resources for this platform was improved successfully. Face to face educations were completed efficiently with a high number of learners - Transnational meeting was carried out on 24-27 th of April 2023. - The website development process was completed successfully. This activity was active from the Kick-off meeting to the final meeting. The domain name of the website was taken as https://www.healthmobilityguide.com/, serving as a dissemination and communication tool. The website host the online education content.

7 activities including 3 meetings (kickoff, transnational and final), 2 workshops, 1 website and 1 digital education platform were accomplished. For the workshop in Germany, the experts provided extensive information on diploma accreditation, and expectations of health institutions from immigrant professionals. The workshop in Turkey was completed fruitfully with more than 100 participants including the direct and indirect project target groups. Project Website was developed successfully, whose domain name is https://www.healthmobilityguide.com/, serving not only as a dissemination and communication tool but also for the educational content of a digital education platform. More than 320 members registered to the project website. The digital education platform as an innovative output of the project was created in such a structure of user- friendly. Total 210 learners completed the e-learning courses via this platform, which exceeds the number of learners stated in the application form as 80. 33 learners took 8 hour face-face education based on the training materials in this platform. This education was followed by 224 learners.effectively. The international network was improved.
