▶Objectives
We wanted to intensify our cooperation with the Hamar kathedralskole and take it to a new level. The joint collaboration of our students on a professional level is intended, on the one hand, to provide insights into different professional approaches and situations, to broaden our perspective and to arouse interest in working in other European countries. At the same time, new technical possibilities learned together in the field of immersive media are intended to expand the students' professional skills and make them fit for the European job market. In addition to learning professional skills, the debate about Europe and European values is the basis of the project with the aim of seeing oneself not only nationally but also at European level. The language of the project is English, which expands and strengthens linguistic skills, a qualification that is particularly required in media jobs. This applies particularly to the participating students, but also to the teachers involved in the project. The teachers benefit from professional exchange, the joint preparation of teaching units and team teaching units.
▶Activities
The project consisted of four components, three of which were student encounters and a further training for the media teachers. There were two poster exhibitions - one in the usual print format, the second enhanced with augmented reality. In addition to the on-site work on the poster exhibitions, there were online meetings and, during the visits, a variety of professionalization workshops for the participating students, tape art, urban sketching, animation, green screen, app design, to name just a few. This also included a visit to the Vitra Design Museum. You can get the best insight by visiting our documentation website: https://freiburghamar.myportfolio.com The teachers involved prepared lessons together and took part in advanced training on augmented reality at the University of Applied Media and Gaming - INN, Hogskolen i Innlandet, the center for study programs in the areas of immersive media, augmented reality and gaming in Norway.
