Capacity building in Biodynamic training and consultancy

Die biodynamische Landwirtschaft ist eine vielversprechende Antwort auf den Bedarf an umweltfreundlicheren landwirtschaftlichen Praktiken. Die Standards für die biodynamische Landwirtschaft sind weltweit zugänglich, aber die Umstellungsschritte für Landwirte sind nicht einfach zu gehen. Zumal die Informationen meist nur in englischer Sprache verfügbar sind. Vor allem in den Partnerländern dieses Projekts fehlt es an lokalen Beratern im Bereich der Biodynamik. Beraterkandidaten sollten Umstellungsfragen in Tschechien, Polen, Slowenien, Litauen und Deutschland kennenlernen, um in der Folge eine internationale Anerkennung zu erlangen. Biodynamic agriculture is a promising response to the need for more environmentally friendly agricultural practices. The standards for biodynamic agriculture are accessible worldwide, but the conversion steps for farmers are not easy to follow. In particular, because informations are usually only available in English. Especially in the partner countries of this project, there is a lack of local advisors in the field of biodynamics. Consultant candidates learned about conversion issues in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovenia, Lithuania and Germany in order to gain international recognition.

Das Ziel dieses Projektes ist der Aufbau von Kompetenzen in der Beratung im Bereich der biodynamischen Landwirtschaft in den Partnerländern in Mittel-Ost-Europa. In jedem Partnerland wurden Trainings für lokale Experten angeboten zu länderspezifischen landwirtschaftlichen Themen, wie z.B. Betriebsstrukturen, Böden, Klima, Kulturpflanzen, Tierhaltung, Marktfragen. Die Beraterkandidaten nahmen an on-the-job trainings und einem geführten Austausch mit den Peer Groups teil und bauten ein internationales Netzwerk auf. Jede Partnerorganisation etablierte Experten, die Wissen über die biologisch-dynamische Methode vermitteln können. The aim of this project is to build up skills in the field of biodynamic agriculture in the partner countries in Middle- Eastern Europe. In each partner country, training courses were offered for local experts on country-specific agricultural topics such as farm structures, soils, climate, crops, animal husbandry and market issues. The consultant candidates took part in on-the-job training and in guided exchanges with the peer groups and built up an international network. Each partner organisation built up experts who are able to offer knowledge about the biodynamic method.
