The project wanted to show (in a condensed, simplified yet realistic format) the challenges facing European municipalities with respect to the following: Spending taxpayers’ money to invest in climate mitigation and climate adaptation initiatives, the trade-off between long and short term benefit, introducing some of the actual actions being planned and outlined by real municipalities in their climate action plans and how stakeholders react to that. The objective was to make a simple but impactful game based on generic mechanical (but local data) that could be adapted to the needs of different types of municipalities.
