โ–ถSummary

We anticipated that the project will provide the necessary knowledge which can dramatically improve the resilience and sustainability of livestock production and create a critical mass of stakeholders via applying training and novel participatory approaches. This will generate working conditions to improve social equity/responsibility outcomes at all levels of food value chain. We aimed via educational tools to protect social equity and cultural integrity which are the most sensitive challenges for sustainability. Such knowledge prepared them to face future challenges as the current one due to COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring self-sufficiency of local communities. Furthermore, the project aimed at strengthening the role of local farming systems and at the same time created a toolkit to promote sustainable entrepreneurship in animal farming to empower local farmers, the members of the social cooperative (including its most vulnerable members who face social exclusion).

โ–ถObjectives

We wanted to provide access to transformative and empowering training and education to local farmers, local individuals who consider becoming farmers, local youth who may want to engage in farming activities and want to learn about sustainability in agriculture, as well as people with personal and social difficulties and mental health issues
