Objectives

The main objectives of the project, which we consider to have been achieved satisfactorily, were: ‑To improve the key competences of teachers, other professionals and people involved in secondary education so they can educate students in values and promote social inclusion; ‑To exchange experiences, good practices and methodologies between organizations and professionals from four European countries, in order to work on the inclusion of people belonging to ethnic monitories and migrants through educational innovation tools; ‑To facilitate the improvement of the educational quality of the participating schools through the knowledge of new educational tools developed by secondary schools, with the aim of working on education in values for social inclusion; ‑To create a network of organizations, active in the field of school education, that work on inclusion, education in values based on solidarity and empathy for diversity, through educational innovation tools, promoting cooperation between Programme countries.

Activities

The main activities implemented were: ‑Transnational Coordination Meeting in Portugal to specify strategies, working methodologies and details of activities among project organisations; -Analysis of legislation and tools to work on education in values and promotion of the inclusion of ethnic minorities and migrants in secondary education, identification of good practices, creation of an e-Book in five languages which collects the results of this phase and a comparative analysis of the situation; ‑International Seminar in Spain to exchange good practices among professionals in the field of secondary education and learn how the same topic is worked in different countries; -Adaptation and implementation in every country of the exchanged tools and good practices and formulation of proposals for a more efficient work on values education and inclusion in secondary schools; -Creation of the project video and e-Book in five languages to summarize the implemented activities; -Final Conference in Greece for the presentation of project outputs and outcomes, including a final evaluation among partners on the impact of the project.

Impact

The main tangible results were: -A project website; -A logo, graphic line and information brochures; -An eBook in five languages with the comparative analysis of the situation and the identified tools and good practices; -An eBook in five languages collecting all activities; -A video with the main phases of the project. Among the intangible results we can underline: -New competences acquired and/or improved by participants; -Increased knowledge of teachers on tools and methodologies to work on values education and inclusion of migrants and ethnic minorities; -Increased exchange of ideas, experiences and good practices among professionals from four countries; -Increased student empathy towards the living conditions of young people from other countries and greater awareness of the acceptance of diversity and the promotion of inclusion; -Schools expand the number and quality of their working tools; -A strengthened network between organisations in four countries; -New contacts and a wider network of organisations for future collaborations; -Increased knowledge and awareness of the importance of values education and promoting inclusion in secondary education.
