Objectives

The idea was to set up a group of participants from two countries, Hungary and Slovakia, covering as many schools and as much territory as possible, train them as mediators and teach them the methodology of facilitation (a technique used in groups), then we train them to become peer mediator trainers, which means that they build on their teacher training, teaching experience and mediator qualification to learn a methodology that enables them to train students in mediation, to train peer mediators from their own communities. These peer mediators can be effective in reducing aggression in their communities, reducing exclusion. Not only by establishing a method, but also a way of thinking, a new perception, a different approach to conflict in their communities. In this way, the method has been shown, it has been passed on to teachers, who will be able not only to apply it, but also to pass it on to students, thus increasing the effectiveness of the original objectives.
