▶Objectives
The project has been structured to achieve clearly defined objectives such as: - Acquisition of skills for work activities. - The strengthening of key competences and soft skills, in particular English language learning, adaptability, intercultural approach and teamwork. - The development of specific professional skills needed in current and future textile work. - To make mobility a realistic possibility for each candidate in vocational training, increasing the entry into the labour market of subjects with fewer opportunities.
▶Activities
With regard to project management, we monitored and examined the activities carried out by the trainees with the aim of making continuous improvements to the project. Thus, we have granted students, with a good collaboration with the partner’s tutor of the company, the opportunity to deepen knowledge in the different sectors that characterize the production process. In the specified candidates have experimented with the tools of pre- and projection wear, acquiring skills of the entire textile production process. Both weekly and monthly monitoring was carried out to ensure the acquisition of skills that would enrich the participants' training path. The students were thus able to appreciate the possibilities offered by the host society.
▶Impact
The results of the training have integrated the basic skills already acquired before mobility with the acquisition of specific professional skills in the fashion industry. The formative action has laid the foundations of the acquisition of the competences on two main levels: - Theoretical training; - Training on the job. The two levels allowed the students to acquire: - Notions of English, from an intensive course that gave them the basic grammatical rules of texili industrial terms; - Concept of the operation of production cycles of textile packaging machines; - Notions on the identification of technical characteristics of materials (height, direction, burrs, rejections); - Detection of textile defects; - Detection of tissue abnormalities; - Understanding of work/assembly data sheets.
