The LANSES project aimed to: Create a platform for the exchange of best practices and experiences on the topic of social inclusion to strengthen the skills of social workers and trainers to effectively respond to the new challenges posed by the pandemic and the increasingly complex needs of vulnerable individuals (including addressing new vulnerabilities that had arisen). Identify practices within the network that could support the development of new competencies for future-oriented planning capable of networking all territorial competencies. Promote innovative approaches and tools to enhance the well-being of professionals and improve the quality of their professional practice in terms of greater effectiveness for the benefit of communities and local organisations. Develop international work skills on the subject and create a support and best practice exchange network among organisations that could support the innovation of their working methods.

Interviews / Analysing the data We defined that each country will identify and analyse 10 good practices in the third sector. This will be done by desk research and interviewing educators from 10 different organisations. For analysing all the data collected we decided to use a digital tool, the jamboard. In the first phase we put in the different jamboards direct transcriptions of keywords and key concepts of the interviews. In a second phase, we grouped all of these transcripts in categories, organising them in two main maps: “changes faced during the Covid times” and “competencies developed”. Study Visit in Barcelona, Spain (06-09 March) We had the opportunity to dive in competences as caregiver/care receiver (by Arte Paliativo), digitalization (by Obertament), networking skills (by Espai La Tregua). Study Visit in Arona, Italy (18-21 April) During this study visit we took time to exchange good practices. But our main focus was to dive in the competences mapped during the interviews phase, and have in consideration some reflections that came out in the SV in Barcelona Final meeting Elba (23-28 October) / Final Conclusions This meeting was attended by the main partners of the project

The project conducted (2) study visits (one in Italy and one in Spain) to meet different local project realities, analyse them, and exchange ideas among colleagues on proposed working methodologies by comparing similarities and differences, as well as envisioned strategies for possible transferability to their own territories. It also included (1) internal mapping in each country of working practices and training models for educators and staff from participating organisations in order to create: (1) an international final evaluation meeting and discussion on the results of the mapping and the creation of a support and exchange network that led to the production of a (1) booklet that includes a definition of the current educational context in the two countries, the analysis of a maximum of 6 best practices (3 per country), and the development of recommendations for the development of training models for operators responding to the new challenges of the post-pandemic social context.
