The project aimed to raise awareness among future sea workers, educators, citizens and local communities about the crucial role of seas and oceans in mitigating climate change and protecting marine landscapes and biodiversity from pollution and over-exploitation of natural resources. The project -Included a shared proposal of Ocean&Climate Literacy in the curriculum of Italian and Greek schools -Improved the Green-Blue knowledge and teaching strategies among teachers of Nautical Institutes, their ability to guide students in choosing a future of study and career in the Blue Economy,increasing their European vision to exchange best practices -Fostered students' engagement in more sustainable behaviours,improving their knowledge about the job and study opportunities offered by the Blue Economy -Strengthened and increased awareness of EU values among young students -Enhanced the expertise and strategic skill of the partners involved as well as the effectiveness of their environmental awareness,education and training activities -Encouraged the participation of women in educational pathways where the female percentage is still low -Improved the awareness of target communities on more sustainable habits and lifestyles
