Objectives

IGNITION aimed to enhance digital literacy and inclusion across higher education by raising awareness and developing digital competences among teachers, students, staff, life-long learners, and external stakeholders. The project’s concrete objectives were to: develop a shared digital literacy agenda and framework; co-create an online self-assessment tool for educators; establish a transnational Teachers’ Community of Practice; launch the Digital Challenge and Innovation Learning Lab (D-CHILL); and design a practical toolkit to support engagement with external stakeholders, particularly small businesses and self-employed professionals. Through these objectives, IGNITION sought to strengthen higher education institutions as inclusive, digitally connected ecosystems, enhance international collaboration, and foster innovation by equipping all actors with the skills, tools, and networks needed to navigate and shape the digital transformation.
