▶Objectives
During the 24-month project, educational and professional opportunities (after distance learning) were equalized for 20 students and 24 teachers of partner schools in industries related to renewable energy and electricity. Additionally, the project included work on key competencies (including soft skills that were impaired during remote learning). The development of soft skills among project participants was noted. Additionally, participants improved their language skills, exchanged professional experiences and learned about modern technologies in the mentioned industries. Thanks to project activities, the attractiveness of vocational education has increased. It became more qualitative because the project adopted a holistic approach, support was provided to both students and teachers who could exchange experiences, learn about modern solutions, participate in workshops, discussion panels, study visits and historical and cultural trips.
▶Activities
The following activities were carried out as part of the project: - partner meetings for organizational purposes and summarizing the project; -mobility of professional and foreign language teachers, pedagogues and career advisors (participation in discussion panels and workshops on the diagnosed problem); - Two editions of youth mobility (study visits to employers, participation in workshops, exchange of good practices, historical and cultural trips). The first mobility included a visit of Greek participants to Poland, while the second included a visit of Polish participants to Greece; -organization of a conference summarizing the project (dissemination of project activities); -preparation and dissemination of publications in two languages (Polish and English).
▶Impact
Results achieved during the project implementation: - equalizing educational and professional opportunities after the pandemic in the area of renewable energy and power engineering through the participation of students and teachers in project activities; - key competences (in particular professional, linguistic, soft and intercultural) were improved for both teachers and students; - a publication was created containing recommendations regarding the possibility of remote work in vocational education; -a conference was organized to promote the project's activities. The added value of the project is building and strengthening relationships between partners and students from Poland and Greece (contact is still maintained and relationships are deepened). Moreover, participation in the project increased the self-esteem of participants (students and teachers), overcame the fear of communicating in a foreign language and made it easier to establish new intercultural relationships. At the same time, the development of professional skills was observed through participation in study visits to companies, workshops and learning about modern technologies in the industries covered by the project.
