1 Develop an ISO-certified qualification framework for Trainers specializing in synchronous electronic learning (SEL). This qualification would be an addition to existing trainer qualifications, focusing specifically on the skills and knowledge needed for online training. 2 Define the role of the 'SEL Trainer' as someone who manages all phases of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) in an online environment. 3 Create a comprehensive framework for this qualification, including learning outcomes (knowledge, skills, and competences), structured into work areas and units. 4 Develop ISO-certified curricula, training materials, and digital methodological tools to train aspiring SEL trainers. This includes both identifying existing tools and creating new ones, like digital icebreaker games. This training would prepare trainers for assessment and ISO 17024 certification. 5 Develop a digital assessment tool to facilitate the ISO 17024 qualification process. 6 Establish a digital resource centre and networking platform for online trainers to share resources, and best practices, and support each other. 7 Create a multimedia guide (best practices guide for online learning delivery).

An Erasmus+ project that aims at developing a qualification framework for trainers that deliver Synchronous Electronic Learning. The SELCERT project aims at enhancing quality electronic learning. Quality e-learning requires special training skills. These skills were supported by SELCERT through the development of a qualification (ISO certified) for trainers that deliver Synchronous Electronic Learning accompanied with training materials and tool, as well as a certification. This resulted in a direct increase in demand for the SEL trainer qualification, with 55 trainers achieving ISO 17024 certification, broadening their professional opportunities with a recognized credential. 55_Trainers in certification with ISO17024 (5 more then in application) R3 - ISO-CERTIFICATED CURRICULUM FOR TRAINERS OF SYNCHRONOUS ELECTRONIC LEARNING The project developed a new qualification for Synchronous Electronic Learning (SEL) trainers, aligned with EQF Level 5, complete with certified training materials and tools. This program provided vocational, professional, and adult trainers with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to deliver engaging, interactive, and participatory online learning experiences, grounded in adult learning theories. A key achievement was the opportunity for trainers to validate their expertise through ISO 17024 certification, establishing a new standard for SEL training. This curriculum addressed the growing need for quality online training, especially in the context of the shift to online learning accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Its modularity, focus on ADDIE within a digital context, and the accompanying training needs analysis tool represent key innovations. The fact that the curriculum is modular enables the trainers, based on a training needs analysis tool to select & undertake only the units that are relevant to them. Key results achieved include: - A comprehensive toolkit of digital tools and techniques: The toolkit provides practical guidance on adapting various training methods for the online environment, categorized by platforms, icebreakers/energizers, quizzes/multiple-choice questions, online brainstorming/group exercises, and online evaluations/training needs analysis. - Focus on interactivity and adult learning principles: The toolkit emphasizes making online training interactive, participatory, interesting, and fun, aligning with adult education principles. - Platform-agnostic approach: Rather than focusing on a specific platform, the toolkit guides how different platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Moodle, Blackboard) can be used to facilitate various training techniques. - Digital icebreaking games: The project developed 3 digital icebreaking games, exceeding the initial target of two. R5 - ASSESSMENT TOOL FOR THE SYNCHRONOUS ELECTRONIC LEARNING [SEL] TRAINERS (ISO1724 CERTIFICATED) An assessment tool for the assessment and certification with ISO17024: The project achieved the development of three key tools to support the certification of SEL trainers: - Assessment Tool for SEL Trainers (ISO 17024 Certified): This tool consists of 80 closed-ended questions of varying types (multiple choice with one correct answer, true/false, and scenario-based) designed to evaluate candidates' knowledge and skills. - Guide for the Assessors: This document provides clear guidelines and best practices for examiners involved in the certification process, ensuring consistency, fairness, and objectivity in candidate evaluation. - ASSESSMENT INDIVIDUAL CHECKLIST for the ISO Certification for SEL Trainers: This checklist provides a structured approach to the exam process, likely used by both assessors and candidates to ensure all necessary steps and criteria are met for ISO certification. This platform offers a variety of tools and resources categorized for easy access: - Platforms: Information on various digital platforms suitable for online learning. - Icebreakers or Energizers: Activities to engage participants and create a dynamic learning atmosphere. - Quizzes & Multiple-choice Questions: Resources to create assessments for evaluating learner understanding. - Online Brainstorming: Tools and techniques to facilitate collaborative idea generation and discussion. - Online Evaluations: Methods and tools to assess learner progress and training effectiveness. - SELCERT Tools: Proprietary tools developed by the project, including interactive games like the Bouncy Game (individual, quick thinking), Race Game (collaborative, team-based), and Quiz Game (real-time, live competition). The platform also provides a searchable Digital Resources section categorized using various tags (Interactive Learning, Creativity, Engagement, etc.) to help trainers discover relevant resources for their specific needs. An FAQ section with comprehensive answers linked to specific tools from the Digital Resources section offers quick solutions to common challenges faced in online teaching and learning. Overall, the SELCERT Digital Resource Center serves as a one-stop shop for trainers to improve engagement, communication, collaboration, and customization in their synchronous electronic learning environments. R7 - GUIDE: BEST PRACTICES FOR SYNCHRONOUS ELECTRONIC LEARNING - The project successfully created a 26-page 'Guide Best Practices for Synchronous Electronic Learning (Dos and Don'ts),' available in both multimedia and print formats. This guide provides concise, practical advice for analyzing, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating online training for VET and adult learners, using the ADDIE model as its framework. Key achievements include: - Practical, concise guidance: The guide focuses on actionable advice, including ready-made tools, general best practices, adapting training techniques for online delivery, addressing different target groups, and common pitfalls to avoid. - Multimedia and print formats: Ensuring accessibility and usability for a wider audience. - Integration with other project outputs: The 'Making Online Training Interactive on Different Platforms' toolkit was included as an appendix. - Focus on concrete application: Avoiding theoretical discussions, the guide prioritizes practical, easy-to-implement strategies.
